Making my mark

I have participated in the ‘Make your mark competition’ by Tigerprint this month. I don’t have a lot of time to participate in competitions but this one was right up my street and I decide to give it a go.

After reading the T&C’s I figure out that I couldn’t use previously published or for sale prints, so I had to make a new one. Also I had to take into consideration the M&S customer as my target market.

After some experimentation in photoshop, playing with previously scanned artwork and messing around with the layers and transparency settings, I came up with this little print called Silver bouquet.

tigerprint, competition, stationery, Marks & Spencer, mark making, print, surface, design, art, painting, abstract, catarina guerreiro. cgprints

I designed this thinking it could make its way into packaging with some nice curly font on top of it and some modern, clean body copy to balance the dramatic feel of the design. Perfect for a beauty product, soap or body lotion maybe? what do you think?
